The understanding of mind and emotions and their relationship to one’s overall health and well-being is an integral part of Chinese Medicine.
The seven emotions: joy, grief, sadness, fear, anger, fright, and worry are intimately connected to the organs. If the organs are unbalanced for extended periods of time, those imbalances can cause emotional disorders. Acupuncture can increase endorphin and serotonin levels and reduce feelings of anxiety and sadness by regulating the nervous system, reducing:
- Insomnia
- Anxiety
- Depression
and increasing well-being, and a calm attitude.
